“In times of isolation, I will reach out.” -daily affirmation (3/18/2020)
Lately, with all that has been going on regarding social distancing, I have spent a lot of time thinking about my favorite Jane Goodall quote; “One individual cannot possibly make difference alone. It is the individual efforts, collectively, that makes a noticeable difference- all the difference in the world.”
I’ve watched as we collectively banded together to prevent the spread of Covid-19. While it isn’t going to just turn off like a light switch, the individual efforts we are making, are making a difference. It’s inspiring.
I have read over articles on pollution levels dropping since we’ve all begun to self-quarantine & I cant help but feel like if we band together in the same way, to change our practices, we can bring about active change in our environment. That if we all just help out in the way only we can our communities will change for the better.
To honor this feeling, I want to help out in one of the only ways I know how, by sharing my journey with you.
Starting this week I will be bringing back #ecofriendlyfriday to share with you the changes I have been making, striving towards a very imperfect version of “zero waste”. The hardships and the triumphs. Tips & tricks.
Each month choosing to focus on one area I affect. In my kitchen, garden, bathroom, shopping habits and more.
This earth is the one thing we all have in common. I want to be able to say I did all I could to perpetuate its health & wellbeing. For us and for our future.
Join me.
Sending all My Love,
